TabSite is pleased to announce the release of multiple enhancements and customization options for the Google Map Widget.

Currently all TabSite users can drag the Google Map widget to their under construction tab and easily add their location to the map.  Now paid plan TabSite users will have multiple features to add more customization to their Google maps.

Enhancements per TabSite Price Plan to the Google Map Widget include:

TabSite Bronze Plan:
- For the 1 location allowed, there is now ability to customize the icon on the map for that location

TabSite Silver Plan:
- Ability to load 1 custom icon to use on all map locations
- Add unlimited locations to the map (perfect for those with multiple locations/offices)

TabSite Gold Plan:
- Ability to load a custom icon for each location
- Add unlimited locations to your map
- Set the default Zoom Level of the map for best viewing of your locations
- Ability for users to turn on a 'Get directions' toggle for users to enter their address and get Google directions to their location
- Ability to turn on user ability to switch from map view to written directions to location view
- Ability to choose to allow user to get directions for public transit, bike, walk, or drive.

Step 1 is to drag the Google Map widget to your tab work area.

Next, add your address for location 1.  Additional options show based on your TabSite plan for each fan page.  Below is the view of a Gold Plan TabSite user.  Use the "Add Marker" to add your second and subsequent locations to the map.

Here is a view of the Map on a fan page showing two locations and using a custom logo icon.

When we have checked the "Get Directions" toggle in the TabSite Manager so it is live for users, here is an example of visual directions on the map with option at bottom for the user to select to view the written directions.

Now any TabSite user can customize their Fan Page tab and add their business / organization location on the tab via the Google Map Widget.  The Map comes with the ability to add one location and to add information to the Info Window that opens when users click on the Map Icon.

The TabSite Google Map Widget gives restaurants, salons, retailers, and others a simple way to ensure fans can easily find their location without having to leave Facebook to do so.

Upon adding the widget to your page and completing the information on your location (shown below), you can then easily re-size and move the map around on your fan page tab.

Non-profits such as churches and theaters can use the Google Map Widget  in their TabSite to inform visitors to their Fan Page of their location and provide a simple way right on Facebook to answer the "Where are you located?" question!
