Master Admin Update to offer Payment Access

February 9th, 2012

TabSite is pleased to offer a requested functionality addition to the Master Admin role offered within the TabSite Manager.

TabSite users can add Master Admins to any TabSite Plan (Free-Gold) so that the Master Admin can access and manage the tabs and content on the tabs of that fan page.  Now TabSite has added the ability for the TabSite user to grant Payment update access to Master Admins.

This new feature for Master Admins is an additional toggle that can be checked for Master Admins that will give them ability to see the payment status for that fan page and to be able to update the credit card that will be used for billing to one of their own credit cards on record.  Master Admins never have access to the credit card number of the TabSite user that granted them Master Admin permissions so security is always maintained but this addition allows for the situations where one user creates a TabSite account but another person such as a Community Manager does most of the tab updating.

Now the Master Admin can ensure that the fan page service is current in the event a a credit card has expired.

Current TabSite plan users wanting to give this function to existing Master Admins should go to the Account Information area in the TabSite Manager and under "Administrator Manager", select the fan page to grant access to, add a Master Admin and check the "Payment Profile Access" box.  Existing Master Admins would need to be removed and then re-added with the new feature to enable the functionality for them.  This is per fan page.

More Power.  More Tools.  TabSite.

With Multiple Admins Standard - TabSite Makes it Easy to Collaborate

November 15th, 2011

collaborate.jpg

From the beginning, starting with our Free Plan level, TabSite allows you to add other Admins to your TabSite accounts per fan page for ease of collaboration.

This means you can assign one team member to have access to edit the TabSite custom tabs for fan page "A",  and another can be assigned to have access to the TabSite tabs for fan page "B", etc.  Are you a designer doing work for a client?  No problem.  You can create the account and assign them Admin access, or vice versa.

QUICK GUIDE:

1. Make sure that the person you are adding is an Admin of the Fan Page on Facebook. (They need to be in order for them to Add new Tabs.)

2. Then login into the TabSite Manager and click on 'Account Information' in the left navigation bar.

3. From the options on this page, choose Administrator Manager.

Enter the email address of the person you want to make an admin of your Facebook Fan Page, then choose Standard Admin or Master Admin from the drop down box. The admins you add will show up at the bottom of your Administrator Admin tab.

The difference between a Stand Admin and a Master Admin is that a Standard Admin can only edit content and add Sub-pages to existing tabs. A Master Admin can add new tabs to the fan page, add Sub-pages and edit content.  (The Master must also be set as a Page Admin via the Facebook Page Admin as well.)

As Facebook Fan Pages become even more critical assets for businesses to engage with their audiences, TabSite will continue the development of new tools and capabilities allowing TabSite users to have a simple way to expand their Facebook Fan Page.

Facebook Places Get Upgrade: Benefits Larger Brands

July 14th, 2011

Here's a informative post in the AdAge blog from Buddy Media CEO Michael Lazerow on recent upgrades and changes to the Facebook Places Platform.

Excerpt from the post:, FB_places.jpg

"This week, Facebook Places and Deals are getting a major boost in functionality as well as a ton of developer love. Here's what's happening.

Parent/child relationship
One of the biggest complaints with Facebook Places is that it was nearly impossible for a large company to manage all of its individual locations or franchises. Those locations were created by individuals from the franchise/location and thus managed individually. Now, with Facebook's new Parent/Child Relationship manager, these large companies can take control.

Through a new admin panel, Facebook Page admins can claim individual Places Pages and add them as children to a "Parent Page." For example, Subway could maintain a Subway brand Page and then add each individual Subway location as a child. Doing this will then enable the parent Page admins as admins of the individual Places Pages and allow them to publish content or change settings for each location.

In short, this is great news for restaurants and others with multiple locations as this will make it easier to keep Facebook "Place Pages" connected and offer the ability to roll out deals across all locations from the main Parent Page Admin.
